Around 20 miles from Peterborough and Ely Cathedral, Nene Lodge in March provides self-contained accommodation for 4 in a pretty riverside location. Just under 1 hour’s drive north from Cambridge, Nene Lodge provides free parking and Wi-Fi.
In the grounds of Nene House, the lodge has its own kitchen facilities, including an oven, hob, microwave and fridge, and a dining area. The comfortable lounge includes a flat-screen TV with satellite channels and has a sofa-bed.
Upstairs, there is an elegant bedroom with 2 single beds. The bathroom has a bath and shower, with hairdryer and toiletries supplied.
The River Nene passes right beside Nene Parade, and the house has its own moorings for those arriving by boat.
The town of March has shops, pubs and restaurants within around 10 minutes’ walk of Nene Lodge, as well as a leisure centre. Direct trains run to Peterborough and Ely in less than 20 minutes, and to Cambridge in just over 30 minutes.
