In the idyll of the Kaulsdorfer Lakes (Kaulis), the Habermannsee, Butzer See and Elsensee. The three Kaulsdorfer Seen are located on the edge of the Marzahn Hellersdorf district in the Kaulsdorf district and are heard from Berlin Mitte. A good 100 years ago, the area was still a stretched moor and swamp area.
The commissioning of the Kaulsdorf waterworks in 1916 made the swamp drier and in the 1930s the Kaulsdorfer seen through the years of sand and gravel extraction. The groundwater flowing in then filled those who were seen. Since then, the prudent villages have been gaining the elixir of life, drinking water from their own area via groundwater and bank filtrate.
The lakes now look to a 95 acre nature reserve. The Elsensee, which does not belong directly to the landscape protection area, is also a biotope and is under protection according to §26a of the Berlin State Nature Conservation Act. The pumping capacity of the Kaulsdorf waterworks was also generally maintained in terms of its water quality and quantity. Watch the rights and the drinking water too.
Of the three seen side by side, Lake Habermann is the most beautiful landscape in Kaulsdorf, perhaps even one of the poor bathing lakes in Berlin. It has many beautiful sandy beaches, shady trees and inviting loungers to relax. To experience the beauty of this nature to be heard is a real trust. Part of our being part of it.
