Ponta Delgada is a pleasant locality on the North Coast of the magnificent Madeira Island, belonging to the municipality of São Vicente, predominantly rural.
In fact, in Ponta Delgada are produced the fresh typical products of the Island of Madeira, due to the fertile soils wisely worked in these very rugged terrains, since the times of colonization of the territory.
Ponta Delgada is now famous for its saltwater swimming pool complex, and a beach protected from the tides and strong winds, located in a bay.
The town is proud of its Mother Church, the Chapels of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the Three Kings, the D. Hilaria Freitas Museum or the Horacio Bento Gouveia House Museum.
Throughout the region of Ponta Delgada stands out the power of nature and its beautiful panoramas, as is visible in the Serra Verde with several rare species, and in the several existing Miradouros from where you can see beautiful landscapes.
Land of traditions still very lively, in addition to the fresh produce of the land, interesting pieces and handicrafts, as typical of the Island of Madeira, as the weaving, lace and regional embroidery pieces or pieces of corn .
