Visit the historic town of Mühlhausen (10 km), the rose town of Bad Langensalza with its 8 themed gardens (20 km), and the Wartburg town of Eisenach (30 km). Children will enjoy the Wildkatzenkinderwald forest playground and play areas in Weberstedt (5 km) and Mühlhausen (10 km). The Trabbi Museum, riding school, and charming Feenstieg hiking trail offer fun and thrills. Explore the national park in the horse-drawn carriage, or join one of the organised bus tours. The Rettelbusch family owned the Gasthof Rettelbusch in Kammerforst for 8 generations, going back to 1833. In 1994 this became the Rennstieg-Hotel. The hotel can host functions of up to 100 guests in its spacious facilities. The rustic restaurant and the beer garden are pleasant places to enjoy home-made Thuringian specialities and home-baked cakes. You can play darts, pool and go bowling here, and the hotel is also happy to provide information about local events.
