Inaugurated in 1902, the Reina Victoria Elevator is located on the slopes of Cerro Bellavista, arriving by a secondary street that ends in Plaza Aníbal Pinto, in the heart of Valparaíso.
The access is found when going up Elías street, where the entire size of this elevator is shown, from its lower station, its route, and until its culmination point. Its lower station is through a large opening, which integrates the elevator with the urban space that welcomes it, with an architectural structure that relates well to its surroundings, due to the materials and colors it uses.
The station is a point of great urban value as it is located right at the break in the direction of Elías street, highlighting its position before giving way to access to Plaza Aníbal Pinto.
In turn, next to it is a staircase that leads to Cerro Concepción.

There are several alternatives to get to Valparaíso:
By bus
The trip takes 1 hour 45 minutes from Santiago. Existing departures with a frequency of 15 minutes, the bus companies offer a good level of service and comfort.
By car
For those who wish to arrive by car from Santiago, they should take Route 68, the estimated travel time being 1 hour and 30 minutes.
In its upper part, the Reina Victoria Elevator ends in a square that starts from the upper station of the elevator itself, with children's games, seats and recently remodeled lights, and that through a bridge communicates with the attractive Dimalow promenade, the one that has an architectural expression from the beginning of the century.
This group of houses, which surround the high point of the elevator, constitutes a historical area of great heritage value, where English and German immigrants left the stylistic mark of their time.
All this complex is within the Paseo Dimalow, which ends in the adjacent Concepción hill, producing a very attractive circuit between the Reina Victoria Elevator and the Concepción Elevator, with access to areas of tourist interest, such as the Paseo de los 14 Seats, the Anglican and Lutheran churches and the Atkinson and Gervasoni Walks.
