Cottage Lodge is set in the Victorian village of Brockenhurst, nestled in the heart of the New Forest National Park. This charming 17th-century residence offers cosy rooms, as well as tea, coffee and cake on arrival.
Cottage Lodge is a friendly, family-run property offering 15 comfortable hotel-style bedrooms. All of the rooms have en suite facilities with a bath or a shower. The standard rooms are the equivalent of a 2-star hotel room and the superior rooms are the equivalent of 3-star hotel accommodation. All rooms have tea/coffee making facilities, TVs and hairdryers. Irons are available on request
Parts of the building date back to 1650 and still feature beautiful period features, such as original wooden beams, handmade bricks and ship timbers. The lodge’s rich history means it has a wealth of character and original charm.
Reception closes for check-in at 20:00.
The village of Brockenhurst has 3 pubs, 7 restaurants, a train station, a petrol station and various shops. The lodge is just 4 minutes’ walk from open forest, but if you prefer to explore on horseback or by bike, horse riding and bicycle hire are available in the village. In the surroundings you will find 2 eateries, shops, village railway station, horse riding, bike hire and, of course, the open forest. In November 2008 Cottage Lodge was a finalist for 3 awards:

Cottage Lodge is based in the thriving New Forest village of Brockenhurst, so you may experience a little noise. However, this does mean you are within just a few minutes’ walk of all of the town’s amenities.
Brockenhurst is one of 3 New Forest villages where the ponies, cattle, donkeys and even pigs can wander freely around the village. They can sometimes be seen on the little green opposite Cottage Lodge.
