The Serra do Gerês (in Galician, Serra do Xurés) is the second largest elevation in mainland Portugal. It has on its summit 1548 meters of altitude (Pico of Nevosa, in the border with Galicia), second sheet of the Geographic Institute of the Army. It is part of the mountainous system of Peneda-Gerês

The Serra da Gerês massif is included in the Peneda-Gerês National Park area.

In this mountain is the Alto do Borrageiro, with 1430 meters of altitude.
