The Fichtelberg Schwebebahn railway is just a 5-minute walk from Apartments Oberwiesenthal-Vierenstraße. The Fichtelberg mountain goes to an altitude of 1,215 metres. The surrounding area is ideal for skiing, and many historic mines can be visited within a 20 km radius.

Free parking is available nearby, and the border with the Czech Republic is just 500 metres away. The German cities of Chemnitz and Zwickau can be reached in a 1-hour drive.
