The central portal of the main façade is flanked by double Corinthian columns on which pillars rest that top four spheres. In the intervals of these columns there are two niches occupied by the statues of the Apostles Saint Peter and Saint Paul. The later towers after the body of the temple are made of stone on the south side and of lime and brick on the north side. They have semicircular arches, one being only on the main sides and two arches on the lateral sides. From what comes, it follows that the architectural style of the facade is the Renaissance Baroque. It consists of three naves and capitals built in quarry stone that support 16 high vaults and a beautiful triangular-shaped dome with an octagonal base. From this temple the procession of the Risen Christ leaves at dawn on Easter Sunday, ending Holy Week.
It is located in the Plaza Mayor of the city, it is the largest for being the main temple. It has 4 semi-circular arched doors (three on the main façade and one on the side, north side of the temple).
