The province of Palpa was created by law 14779 on December 27, 1963, its capital is the city of Palpa.
Agriculture: base of the economy of the province, stand out the crops of orange, cotton, fruit trees, chili. pan-carry products, etc. There are vegetable processing plants.
The Peruvian Province of Palpa is one of the five provinces that make up the Department of Ica, belonging to the Ica Region, and also the last to be created.
The main square of Palpa has colonial-style portals, in the square is the San Cristobal Temple, in honor of the patron saint of Palpa.
In the central part of the square there is a pool crowned with a half orange, which pays homage to the main fruit of the area.
In the Portal de Botoneros is the Municipality of Palpa, on the second floor there is the Museum of Palpa.
The Peruvian Province of Palpa is one of the five provinces that make up the Department of Ica, belonging to the Ica Region, and also the last to be created.
It limits to the north with the Huancavelica Region, to the east with the Ayacucho Region, to the south with the Nazca Province and to the west with the Ica Province.
