The Garibaldi Square is known worldwide, was called Plazuela de Jardín and later El Baratillo, but since 1821, when the consummation of the Independence of Mexico was celebrated, and changed its name to Plaza Garibaldi in reference to Giuseppe Garibaldi's grandson, José Garibaldi, who fought in 1911 in the ranks of Francisco I. Madero in Chihuahua.
It is an icon of Mexican culture, in its surroundings you will find the restaurants of typical Mexican food, decorated in the traditional style. There you can enjoy the night in a particular Mexican style in the middle of mariachis, chili, jalapeños and tequila.
This epicenter of Mexican folklore is very popular with locals and foreigners alike, who also enjoy nearby bars, canteens and shopping malls. Garibaldi Square is a complete entertainment venue, especially at night, where all the instruments and the warmth of the voices of all kinds of mariachis merge, ready to give a famous show that surprises and yearns for everyone to pass by.
In Plaza Garibaldi is the famous Mariachi Monument, a standing man, traditionally dressed in his huge hat and guitar. Another place that catches the eye is the Rincon del Mariachi.
