A 10-minute walk from Heian-Jingu Shrine, Kaikoan Shikibu is a “Machiya” townhouse in a traditional Japanese style available for private rental. Free Wi-Fi is provided throughout, and the air-conditioned townhouse has a flat-screen TV and a unique cauldron bath.
Guests at Kaikoan Shikibu Townhouse sleep on a tatami (woven-straw) floor in Japanese futon bedding. A fridge, an electric kettle with green tea, a microwave and a hot plate are provided at the kitchen.
The Gion area and Yasaka-jingu Shrine are both about a 15-minute walk from the townhouse. Kyoto Station is a 15-minute subway ride from nearby Sanjokeihan Subway Station, which is a 7-minute walk away.
