The name of this volcano Orosí, a sharp word and the name of the indigenous king Orosí, should not be confused with that of the town of Orosi, a serious word. Orosí is a volcano in Costa Rica, located in the Guanacaste mountain range, in the canton of La Cruz, Guanacaste province, near the city of La Cruz and near the northern border with Nicaragua.







The lands near the base of the Orosí volcano have been used for cattle ranching and agriculture.
