The mountains provide a landscape that allows us to see the River Minho, the Portuguese village of Caminha, as well as the Spanish settlements of Galicia.
The Serra d'Arga is an elevation of Continental Portugal, rising to 825 meters of altitude (Alto do Espinheiro). It is located in Alto Minho, in the mountainous system of Peneda-Gerês.
The pilgrimage of S. João do Arga, on August 29, is one of the most characteristic and lived of the Alto Minho, with a strong power of attraction to the surrounding populations. This is the path used since time immemorial that, crossing the Serra d'Arga makes us relive all the stories and legends that refer to it. It is a long road that crosses a very harsh area.
