The volcanic Eifel, where Sassen is located, is a beautiful nature area with wide forests, fields and tuff cones (Volcanic lakes). It is perfect for cycling and walking and in summer of course for swimming. You will also find many small romantic places with tourist attractions, restaurants and bars in the region. In nearby Kelberg (approx. 6 km) or in Daun (approx. 15 km) you can go shopping in various shops.
The Nürburgring and its exciting experiences is definitely worth an excursion. The city of Adenau with its timbered houses is nearby (approx. 20 km).
