If you would like to make a day trip. we can certainly recommend a cycling trip along the Mossele (with villages such as Bernkastel and Trittenheim). Renowned villages including Trier (25 km.). Luxembourg (45 km.) and Idar-Oberstein (30 km.) are within easy reach. In the winter the 818 m. high Erbeskopf offers 3 drag lifts. a toboggan run and a ski school which also makes this a good place to stay in the winter.
