If you visit Tingana, you will be captivated and admired by its beautiful natural landscape. In addition, the legends and myths that it contains within its forests, make this place magical and mysterious.



This area covers 3, 479. 73 Has of temporarily flooded natural forest, characterized by its abundant and predominant population of aguaje (Mauritia Flexuosa) and renaco (Ficus Sp) trees.



Tingana, offers an amazing potential to carry out research studies and observation of flora and fauna, it is ideal for the practice of ecotourism and experiential tourism.



This is a refuge for wild animals, mostly monkeys and birds, and it is also the natural habitat of endangered and vulnerable species.



You will have the opportunity to know and explore the forest, to appreciate the great variety of plant species such as ferns, vines, orchids, bromeliads, among others. Among the fauna, mammals such as; river wolf, monkeys (friar, pichico, black monkey and omeco), fur, achuni, anteater and others.



Among the species of birds you can find: the tarahui, flauterillo, toucan, manacaraco, heron; and fish such as shirui, tilapia, mojarra, atinga, carachama, among others.







From Lima and Iquitos (regular flights) to the city of Tarapoto in an average time of 55 min., To later travel by land (2 hrs) to reach Moyobamba and from there by an affirmed highway to the district of Yántalo and then reach the Port "La Boca del Río Huascayacu" (in 45 minutes). Afterwards, the river navigates the Mayo river until we reach the Avisado river and from there to the Tingana sector (1 hour by motor boat).



Adventurers can do it by road in a trip of approximately 24 hours from Lima, through the Panamericana Norte to the city of Chiclayo and after a break continue through Bagua- Pedro Ruíz- Nueva Cajamarca - Rioja- until reaching Moyobamba, by the Fernando Belaúnde Terry road (former marginal), from where you can go to the Tingana sector.



Tingana is one of the sectors adjacent to the AHARAM municipal conservation area, Moyobamba province, San Martín Region.



If you want to spend the night and watch the sunrise, enjoying the scenic scenery, in exchange for a reasonable fee, you can stay in the Tingana bungalows or if you prefer to camp you can do it with a tent or sleeping.



We have infrastructure of typical tambos for the reception, kitchen and dining room, natural swings, viewpoints to rest and observe birds, strategically located on the top of the renaco trees, so that you can spend an unforgettable experience in contact with nature.
