ezenas of toys were gathered over decades by Luiza de Azevedo Meyer, who was born in 1912, and died in 2000, the creator of the space. Her beautiful porcelain dolls were exhibited a few times in Belo Horizonte and, six years after her death, her dream came true.
The Toy Museum already has five thousand pieces in its collection, and will continue to accept donations, including children's books and records. Some of the toys are still from the 19th century, and help to tell the good part of the childhood story in Brazil.
Opening Hours: Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, Sat. and holidays from 10 am to 5 pm.
