Pre-Columbian village dating from around 2,800 BC.



Inhabited in its time by about 150 to 200 inhabitants approx. They are mud constructions, corresponding to a conglomerate of 22 circular enclosures around which a system of walls was built, forming complex routes of circulation that intercommunicated between them. The enclosures, whose foundations were based on previously excavated gutters, were built with adobe, acquiring a vaulted shape that can reach about 2 meters high and that ends in a conical ceiling supported by wooden posts.



Located 10 kilometers south of San Pedro de Atacama and 328 kilometers northeast of Antofagasta.

This village was buried by sand and today the site museum is located, reproducing the original houses with the same elements of yesteryear. There is a viewpoint with routes that allows you to observe the formation of the village from above.
